Problem

Sometimes the user (or at least me) just instinctively puts 3 fingers on the trackpad and starts moving them before deciding where to move them, but you must decide whether you want the multitasking view or to switch workspaces before moving the fingers.

Proposal

It would be pretty nice to be able to do the 3-finger swipe left/right at the same time as you swipe up, and have both the workspace switching and the multitasking view opening happening at the same time.

I think gnome had something similar in the works, but it hasn't been implemented yet.

You can't switch workspaces using gestures inside the multitasking view (not sure if that's a bug or a design decision)

Definitely a bug. It is implemented and works fine on my side. And I don't remember any bug reports about this.

So after you opened multitasking view you can't use 2/3 finger swipe gestures to switch workspaces, right?
