Kibana version:
main

Browser version:
Chrome 124.0.6367.61 and 124.0.6367.92

Describe the bug:
Sometime when navigating to the User Profile page from Discover, then attempting to change the Theme, the user is met with the Chrome "Aw, Snap!" page.

After a refresh, the page works as expected.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start up KB/ES locally
  2. Navigate to Discover
  3. Click the Avatar menu > Edit Profile
  4. Attempt to change the theme (notice: the Avatar menu is still open)
  5. "Aw, snap!"

Expected behavior:
The user can change the Theme from within the User Profile page

I also bumped into this a couple of times, but after recent chrome upgrade (to 124.0.6367.94) can't reproduce it.
This was probably a browser bug, might be already fixed

I still have this issue.

It happens when user menu popover is still open.

Closing this popover automatically on pressing "Edit profile" should resolve the issue.
