[OneDiscover] One Data Source Picker

Discover and Logs explorer currently are using 2 different types of data source selection:

Discover

Allows to select DataViews (Like Lens and other parts of Kibana)

Log Explorer

Allows to select categorized and uncategorized Integrations, its DataViews selection is linking to Discover

One Discover

Our aim is to create a single data source selection experience, that allows

• Searching and selecting of Integrations
• Searching and selecting of Data Views
• Data Views Management Actions
  • Managing a Data view
  • Adding a Data view
  • Adding a field to a Data View
• Allows preselecting Integrations / Data Views
• Selecting a single Integration/Data View
• Allow to select "All logs"
• Providing a "Add data" link to Onboarding data

Out of scope for this iteration, but worth to think ahead:

• Adding a way to explore indices directly, like the current Data View selector support (When no matching data view is found, indices are searched for matches)
