What is your experience with using the terminal on Linux?
To see if you can easily compile the latest in-progress version: https://github.com/dragonfireclient/dragonfireclient#compiling

Or go with the latest prebuilt version : https://github.com/dragonfireclient/dragonfireclient/releases/tag/2022.05
You should be reluctant to be running precompiled stuff from the internet. Especially cheats. On the non-libre & Windows world, that's the kind of software people like to bundle malware with for various reasons.
In the case of dragonfireclient you should be able to trust Cora and Lizzy, they are well known contributors in the Minetest ecosystem. Still if you can, compile the in-progress version.
