'also use this icon for all child nodes' is not persistant...check mark disappears after first useage

I cannot get child nodes of the same parent node to use the selected custom icon more than once without having to put the check mark back in 'also use this icon for all child nodes'.
All child nodes default back to the default icon despite putting a check mark in 'also use this icon for all child nodes' located in the Select node icon window and clicking OK. After I click OK in the Select node icon window the check mark disappears after the first child node is created and receives its custom icon.

From what I'm testing, it does work, but the tree is not being refreshed automatically. If after assigning a certain icon to a node you mouse over the children you can see that the icon has been established.
I will correct it
