Hi @santo74, we have big ideas for DoneJS but do not have the resources to upgrade to CanJS 6 at the moment. The issue you reference is not an indication of DoneJS going away, but rather a way to make it more flexible. |
Hi @matthewp, thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear you have big ideas! This means however that at this very moment it's probably more interesting to just start with CanJS / StealJS in order to get the latest and greatest. And that's where the referenced issue comes into the picture ;-) Also, I suppose once a new version of DoneJS gets released based on CanJS 6, with some or all of the big ideas implemented, it probably won't be that straighforward to upgrade to it form the current DoneJS version, given the major refactorings from CanJS 5 to 6? Or can you ensure a smooth upgrade path? |
As velocirender was made to support every library, I’d start with CanJS 6.

Is this project still under active development?
Done.js seems like an ideal solution for my use case, but I'm a bit hesitant to start using it since I don't see any activity since about a year:
The latest version is 3.2.0 which was released more than a year ago.
That version uses CanJS 5 while CanJS 6.5.0 has been released.
The last commit was in october 2019.
Also this issue might indicate there's not much interest (anymore) in the DoneJS project?
