Removing projects vs removing unused

On the documentation I see fin cleanup removes unused stuff but it does not specify the criteria of what is unused nor if it's restricted to the current project folder I'm in. Does unused mean not running at the moment? or not used for a given amount of time? Does it remove from all the projects I have on my computer or only the project I'm currently in? Usually fin commands are to the project in the given folder but I wonder if this command may delete stuff from other projects that I absolutely can't mess up.

From my recent experience:
fin remove executed inside a project folder will remove the containers and images of that project, there's a confirmation prompt that says what project you are removing.
fin cleanup does not have a confirmation prompt and just removes stuff. It's not restricted to a project nor to a time frame, it removes dangling volumes, images and containers from projects that have been deleted so there's no project folder for it.
