Slash commands attachments: multiple files in a single option

I think there should be an option to allow multiple files to be attached to a single command option. This could be achieved by having maximum and minimum count properties on attachment options. This would give developers greater control over what users can upload.

I fully understand that a similar effect can be achieved by having multiple options that all accept one attachment each, but this can make the user experience very clunky in my opinion. My bot, for example, requires users to upload anywhere between 1 and 5 attachments to a command, while also having other non-attachment options. Having a sea of options just looks bad.

Another reason for this change is to make the behaviour more akin to regular messages. Recently we got the ability to add multiple attachments to a single message, and I think the same should apply to slash commands (if the developer so desires).

Don't quote me on this, but iirc that is how it works but there is a bug with it at the moment.

you can have multiple options if you need multiple attachments, but each option can only have one attachment. and there's currently a bug that doesn't let you upload more than one attachment across multiple options

As I mentioned in my second paragraph, I am aware this is possible, but for bots like mine that require any number of attachments between 1 and 5, having 5 options when they won't all be used most of the time makes the command look very cluttered, especially on small screens. I would much prefer if I single option were able to accept a specified number of attachments if the developer chose to allow it.

That will work. I think it would be nicer to have one type of command that can take multiple images rather than having 6 image inputs, a text input and multiple Boolean inputs. It just seems cluttered as it is 😵‍💫

This could probably be implemented alongside #3286 , but I don’t think there’s been any indication of whether that’ll happen or not.
