Can't upload files to the PACS server - Search for Studies failed

I installed the slim viewer from Hermann lab (https://github.com/herrmannlab/slim) which utilizes a dcm4chee-arc-light DICOMweb server on localhost for local app development and testing on a debian vm.

When I start the viewer, I get an http error 500 on GET http://localhost:8008/dcm4chee-arc/aets/DCM4CHEE/rs/studies?ModalitiesInStudy=SM

Does anybody has an idea what's wrong?

Ensure LDAP configuration for the archive is correctly initialized.
