Is it possible to edit a blog post from "layout-blog-start.html"?

Hello everyone,

I wonder if it is possible to open the yellow-pane-edit by a link in the file theme-blog-start.html.

Background: I sometimes find it annoying when I first have to open the blog post and then click on Edit. Instead, I would like to click on the cogwheel in the screenshot to be able to edit the post directly.

But maybe that would also be a feature request: I would like to see an inline editing feature in the yellow-edit extension. 😬
