gpt-4 does it work for you? Or does it always go to gpt-4-0613?

I have this line set in the .env:

"OPENAI_MODELS=gpt-3.5-turbo-0613,gpt-3.5-turbo-16k-0613,gpt-4,gpt-4-0314,gpt-4-0613"

However, even when I chose the plain old vanilla/original gpt-4, I always see gpt-4-0613 under usage, if I select gpt-4-0314, it does show the API endpoint as gpt-4-0314. I had my doubts as the original gpt-4 was quite slow vs 0314 or 0613, but the responses that I was getting were fast.

I do have access to old gpt-4 API as it shows this under rate limits:
gpt-4 | 40,000 | 200
gpt-4-0314 | 40,000 | 200
gpt-4-0613 | 40,000 | 200

Is it just me or this is how it is for you guys as well? OR if there are some issues with my settings in the .env for OPENAI_MODELS?

As of late June, gpt-4-0613 is the default model when using gpt-4. I can't remember where I read this, but this is definitely the case.

gpt-4-0314 will deprecate next year.

We do not have any ways to select the original GPT-4 model then?

I remember reading somewhere (few months back) that OpenAI will keep the original model to be accessed via API until next year.

For some reason gpt-4 doesn't work at all, it always replies "I'm gpt-3". I pay the additional to have access through the api. Don't really know where to start debugging.

It’s gpt 4. It likely was trained on some gpt 3 synthetic data so it will say that
