Expected Behavior

Files, even many files, are stored in vault and can be viewed and retrieved.

Actual Behavior

When adding many files, it becomes near impossible to actually recover any of the files. Copy/Paste operations usually crash before finishing or take hours or throw other errors.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Load large amount of data into vault
  2. Try to export data out of the vault

Specifications

  • CryFS Version: 0.11.3
  • Operating System (incl. Version): Fedora 39

I understand that cryfs is somewhat new but, and please correct me if I am wrong, I do not want to accuse anyone of anything, there is no warning of this. The stability issues do not list a warning about a issue like this.
Please add a warning regarding the severe performance impacts that may occur with large vaults.

Is there any way to feasably retrieve the data from this state?
