Recently added albums section never gets updated

I don't know if I'm on the right track here, so sorry in advance if I'm mistaken. To put it briefly, the recently added albums section of Kodi music library never updates after syncing with PlexKodiConnect (by the way, I use the add-on paths).

After doing a bit of online searching, I've discovered an identical issue with the Jellyfin for Kodi add-on. The conclusion was that starting with Kodi 19 they're no longer using 'dateAdded' for Albums in 'MyMusic82.db'; they're using 'dateNew' instead. I can confirm that the 'dateAdded' column for Album table is NULL after checking my own music database, while the 'dateNew' column is indeed properly populated. (FYR: jellyfin/jellyfin-kodi#481)

Kindly assist if it has anything to do with the way that PlexKodiConnect updates the Kodi interface, otherwise point me in the right direction.
