Cant connect to home assistant

Hi,

I have a server that was working perfectly until today. Today I reflashed the server. I've updated some packages in the Arduino IDE. Since then I'm unable to register the IRremoteESP8266 server in Home Assistant. I can see the messages from the IRremoteEPS8266 in the in the "Listen to a topic" in Home Assistant (including the discovery message). I tried multiple times to run the discovery to no avail. I tried wiping and starting over with IRremoteESP8266, including changing the hostname of the server - but nothing works. I still see the old server in the MQTT integration in Home Assistant, but the new one doesn't appear.

Answering myself... sort of,
I didn't find the problem with IRremoteESP8266, but what I did was to reset the mosquitto server (deleted it's database) and then after running the discovery again the device was recognized properly.
