What exactly is the difference between this and the official confluence docker image or put in another way, why is this repo here needed at all?

I could not find it in the documentation and I was too lazy to dig in the source code of both images.

Also you are maintaining other atlassian docker images as well. This question holds for all of them, but I did not want to create a bazillion similar issues the other repos.

It looks like atlassian/confluence-server maintained better than this repo.
I could not find official docker images for jira, so i will stay with cptactionhank/atlassian-jira.

@cptactionhank maintained this repo since "6 Aug 2014", but official came out only at "2016-05-25", so I need to say:
Thank you for make confluence updates easy for us during all this time!
