any way to change tile size?

Is there a way I can change the size of the gaps between windows dynamically? Like have MOD+x make the gap between windows smaller and have mod+z make the gap biggger???

It is general problem with spectrwm which has no client to change the settings dynamically, like for instance in bspwm, where you have a client which can change any aspect of the winow manager.
