Upon installing this plug-in, without warning or a means to stop it, it attempted to build a multi-module maven project... by forking about 20 or so maven processes. It also went about creating dozens of effective.pom files (unnecessary in my opinion.)

Since the package has no way to control when this gets executed, it pretty much hogs my system down just by opening a project.

All, I hoped was for something that could provide some type of auto-completion based on the pom's declared xsd (just as in Eclipse).
