Segmentation fault while cleaning up the tree when run with time limit

Bnb, QG etc. sometimes throw a segmentation fault when cleaning up the branch-and-bound tree when run with some time limit (say, with --bnb_time_limit 10). This happens because a parent is being deleted even though its child exits.
