Investigate goog requirejs plugin for loading maps and see if it can handle chained asynchronous dependencies.

As listed here, the goog plugin is only for the following APIs: search, feeds, data, earth, visualization, orkut, and picker. However, the font plugin may be useful for loading the webfonts. I updates the issue title for this instead of goog.
