home page auto-play (can't find it)

⚬ PROBLEM:

How do I turn off the mini-video that auto-plays on many channel pages? I don't know what it is called, and my search of settings doesn't seem to find a match. If it's not already controllable, then this is a suggestion! I have a screenshot to illustrate, let's see if I can find the appropriate place to put it.

⚬ SOLUTION:

I'd like this to have it's own on/off switch like many other YouTube items.

IF it is not in the settings already, then YES, I think it would be beneficial to many people.

⚬ "SIDE EFFECTS":

I think adding it as another OPTION negates any concern that people might have about turning it off by default.

OK great! Now I have found it. By default it was off, so I tried it on, then off again, and it stops "most" home page trailers from auto-playing, but not all (about 80% of 50 tests). Is this something known, a bug, or still in progress?

extension autoplay disabling code is not robust and often fails both ways :(

We really need to find a better way of handling autoplay, here example of more troubles #2137
