Bug Details

When interacting with the Nether Drake Egg for the quest, two whelps spawn instead of one. Why is this a problem?

  1. The is not the intended behaviour.
  2. A single Nether Whelp hits extremely hard with their Arcane Blast spell, as well as Mana Burn. Two makes this brutal.
  3. Using the Temporal Phase Modulator turns a Nether Whelp into an even strong monster, so now you have two challenging enemies to deal with.

This is not a group quest, but in its current state, it makes it almost necessary to group up.

I did some searching and this bug has been reported on some other cores too.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Interact with a Nether Drake Egg
  2. Two Nether Whelps hatch from the egg

Expected behavior

Only one Nether Whelp should should spawn from the egg.
