Basically, I'd like to request a feature that allows a character to turn around and buy a PACKS kit post chargen. Post chargen would need to disable some functions, such as "spend karma for nuyen" as that doesn't apply in chargen, but this would allow characters, especially those who had to recently burn a lifestyle and lose a lot of gear, the ability to mass-buy basic gear again.

So major question would be how granular the expense should be. Should it refund the whole purchase, or just make an expense for each added item? Will also need some safeguards for purchasing, the existing system sort of assumes that the character validation system will resolve any issues.

I'd say make an expense for each added item. Just a shortcut method for buying multiple things at once. Would also let people play with it a little by undoing some expenses.

One example here might be a decker who leaves chargen with only a bare minimum number of programs, and post-gen decides to buy All The Programs

custom_packs.xml.zip

Or similar cases such as the one that originally came up on Discord where a user was looking for a way to add multiple items as a sort of bundle at once post-gen: https://discord.com/channels/365227581018079232/945359128887447602/1163153734788972667
