Additional eye mount should be able to accept a (presumably?) essence free cyber eye. Currently you can place additional eye mounts in limbs ect or in meat as one would expect but there is no way to associate a cybereye to it, nor any way to add an essence free eye to the mount.

While Chrome Flesh says that the eye is sold separately, there are no listed prices or availabilities for single cybereyes meant to be added to an Additional Eye Mount (Cybereyes Basic System only covers two eyes that replace a user's biological eyes). This is yet another one of those places where Chrome Flesh's shoddy writing means we can't resolve this problem within a RAW structure.

At this point I'd argue just allowing buying the CRB Cybereyes Basic system as a plugin for the Additional eye Mount.

It's not a perfect solution, but it's the only solution we got that uses RAW stats.

People can technically adjust the cost themselves if they like by saying "I should only pay half the price" and there is an option to pay a percentage of the price. But current Chummer behavior does not even support the option of picking up the additional eye.

Yea I would think that is the way to go tbh. I though it some someplace that basic cybereyes come in pairs even if you install just 1 it's still costs the same so I'd just make a eye basic system that can go in the socket and accepts the normal eye stuff. It probably shouldn't disable natural eye abilities though since the eye isbt getting replaced in this case.

At a certain point, we might just start asking ourselves if the best way to resolve this issue is to just create an amends that implements reasonable house rules.

Chummer by default likes to stick with RAW as close as possible, while presenting options that allow to to be adapted to house rules. By pushing the fix for this issue as an amends, we don't have to worry about RAW deviations and could even do seemingly reasonable things like "Just give people a free 'single cybereye' and charge them for the upgrades" or "Charge people 50% of the cost of a cybereyes basic system and maybe has 50% the capacity to buy the actual eye". Or we could just charge full price for the cybereyes and yeah you only get one that's capitalism for ya.

We do have to keep in mind the fact that the most important part of the Cybereyes is the rating, which determines their capacity. There is an awful lot of missing rules in place, so I think this makes sense to implement as an amends file, rather than a core change to the default chummer.
