What happens after start trace

Got an email from a user saying start trace doesn't work. What really happened was that the user started tabbing before focusing on the page, so the focus was still on the devtools panel.
Not sure if possible to fix this, maybe window.focus() or something, but can possibly add some text to ask user to focus on window after pressing "Start trace".
