I talked a few times in public channels about Chartbrew v2, but now it's time I make it more official and share with all of you what is coming and what to expect in the next version. The plans are not concrete yet, hence creating a discussion over here on Github. Feel free to share feedback, suggestions and anything else.

🚸 UI/UX improvements
v2 will be focused a lot on improving this aspect of the project. The UI will be completely re-vamped, and all functionalities will be revisited and improved UX-wise.

and replacing it with nextui📝 Licensing changes
These changes are still under consideration. The plan is to enable dual licensing for Chartbrew. The current repository under the MIT license will be changed to AGPL-3.0, but also providing proprietary licenses to projects that are in need of private changes.
The reasoning behind of this is to defend the project from entities that can just re-brand Chartbrew and run a competitor service without returning any value to the main project. By licensing the project with AGPL, these entities will have to release their entire codebase to the public. If in some cases, these entities cannot release these changes to the public, they would need to acquire a proprietary license from Chartbrew's copyright holder.
