After updating, the controller only works the home button, my 8bitdo does the same thing, so dont update the controller. I didnt find anything to do until now

There's a beta firmware on the 8bitdo subreddit which work with the latest xbox one controller firmware and add compatibilty with the elite controller V2

I just plugged in my xbox one controller (with the not-working firmware) and it worked... Very interesting. I don't think i made a single change to the files...

Edit: Xbox One Controller works in undocked mode. But not docked.

Could you discover the problem? Install the latest sys-con update, but my xbox one joystick still doesn't work with the latest firmware.

for people still having trouble with this issue, try these things:

  • (If your controller has batteries) Press the xbox button so it starts blinking, then plug the controller into the switch
  • Connect your controller through USB to your PC, then to your switch
  • Use the Xbox Accessories app for Windows to reinstall controller firmware, then connect the controller to the switch

Does this make it work docked? Also, the third step - does it have to be connected to pc via bluetooth?

Thanks for the app!!

Man the solution is even dumber, I followed @cathery steps but it needs batteries to work.

Before connecting it to the Switch, press the XBOX button and keep pressing it while you connect the USB cable.
