Hi Zach and Lucas,

As we've discussed via email, Storify is closing its doors on May 16, 2018, and this is a problem for one of the DDH2012 pieces that uses a Storify embed: http://dhdebates.gc.cuny.edu/static/debates/text/3

I would love it if we could fix this issue before Storify goes under. Looking at their FAQ ( https://storify.com/faq-eol ), it looks like users can export their storify stories into HTML. Should I ask Bethany to do that, and then can we figure out a way to embed it in the piece?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

FYI, Bethany also has images of the Storify thread if we wind up needing them, though it would be nicer to implement in HTML if we can.

follow-up from Bethany: she has shared with me a set of exports (HTML, XML, JSON) that I can share with you. But she notes that she experimented with this before writing, but found that Twitter had changed its links for profile images in the meantime, so the output — and, actually, current state of the piece — is not great.)

@zdavis @lthurston -- FYI, this piece needs some help -- take a look at the piece on the web -- http://dhdebates.gc.cuny.edu/static/debates/text/3

(I was reminded of it through this conversation -- https://twitter.com/mkgold/status/1096990731963691009 )

I know we are moving Debates to Manifold, but I think it might be worth trying to fix this version now, if possible. We should also check to see how/whether the transfer of data from current DDH site to Manifold version will be affected by this, as it now seems that some data is missing on the old version
