Feature: Define alternative data stores to file system

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Currently, only the file system can be used as data store.

This might need more flexibility and configurability.

Describe the solution you'd like

File system will still remain the default.

Then, a configuration property should point to an implementation of a data store (like S3 for example) which is configured in the container then.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Reqiurement to mount a volume to the file folder.
