What does this plugin do that nvim-lspconfig doesn't?

I'm confused as to what this plugin offers that the default nvim-lspconfig implementation doesn't. Given the lack of development on this (and my presumption that this doesn't do anything that nvim-lspconfig doesn't do), maybe it should be archived and removed from the lspconfig language specific plugins wiki?
