Is it possible to make the colorcolumns be set for the active window rather than the inactive window?

This way we can achieve where all inactive windows have same background color even in the non=-buffer ~ area.

Maybe you can make a new option for it. That would be awesome! I don't use colorcolumn at all, so I don't care if this means I won't have a reliable colorcolumn in the active window.

Might be possible, but I won't look into it myself.
I still consider it a bad back, and would rather see Vim providing it properly.
IIRC there is an issue for Neovim about it.
