(you may want to check /etc/modprobe.d/, there should be a solo6x10.conf file there, if not, that might be the problem, you need to blacklist the mainline driver if you want to use this version). Unless you're using a pre-2.1 version of bluecherry DVR, 2.4.8 should be fine. |

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 with kernel 3.5.0 and 3.2.0. I've compiled each released driver version and tried it; below 2.4.5 the driver does not recognize my video capture card; and above the system freezes at random: the mouse and keyboard do not respond and the screen stays static (before startup, after 3 minutes...). No errors are reported in the logs. I've seen this issue being discussed in two topics a year old, but the tips did not help. Could you give me a hand?
