I see this tool as useful for any kind of seated networking event. Is there perhaps another name isn't so specific to us but is still cool yet self explanatory?

Link to Gitter, welcome wider use and contribution

We've started to promote Gitter rather than Slack since it requires one
less thing for people to sign up for -- Gitter is basically one-click
access with a GitHub login.

We had also referred to applicability of the app beyond the BKK/hack
community in the past. References #21 sort of.
