This is for the Windows 0.91 client.

When following the procedure for creating bitassets the following issues appear:

  • no error message is shown when number of assets is invalid
  • what is min and max number of shares?
  • same for field 'precision' (min / max values?)
  • some explanation is required for the different boxes (symbol, description, ..., precision)
  • an error message is missing in the case balance funds are insufficient to creat a new bitasset
  • the creation of a new bitasset (fee 5,000 bts) is not working! first the asset is shown, then is vanishes when coming back from, e.g., the dashboard

Other issues:

  • the 0.91 client crashed for some unknown reason while I was away for 5min
  • the Bitshares system tray symbol is missing (intentionally?)
  • a "This is new in this version / This was fixed in this version" message when starting the client for the first time would be very helpful

Keep up the good work!

Help was found here (for use with the console): http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/BitShares/UserAssets

My guess is that the GUI still uses the old wallet_asset_create command instead of the new wallet_uia_create command, right?

When looking into the Wiki, it would be nice to have references to Bitshares client version numbers or so in order to know which guidance applies to which version.

In theory the wiki should always require the most-recent version .. Though man power is limited and some pages are out-dated .. unfortunatelly :(
