Receive data/commands from Xpression?

I'm using Xpression with BFC and I'm super impressed so far. I tend to a add hold/pause to my graphics so I can animate when ready. Is it possible for BFC to recognize the pause, and have by StreamDeck button flash until I press it? Additionally, is it possible to pull in something like a page number, or first name from the loaded Xpression key, and display that data onto the button (or another button) used as a preview.
