Expected Behavior

VXLAN tunneled packets are forwarded in hardware, and the traffic is not visible to the controller.

Actual Behavior

VXLAN tunneled packets are forwarded in hardware(?), but the VXLAN encapsulated packets are copied to Controller (visible in tcpdump on the port with the vxlan interface).

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

Follow the VXLAN example, look at the packets received by the switch on the vxlan port (port54 in the example).

Specifications

  • Version: BISDN Linux 5.0
  • Platform: agema-ag7648
  • Subsystem: baseboxd

I haven't tested whether other platforms are also affected, or if this is a Trident II limitation.
