Hi all,

Since three days notifications about new or updated packages are pushed to IRC, Gitter, Twitter and Google Plus. Plus there is also an API, a RSS and an ATOM feed to query the newest packages (however the latter two are currently more work in progress).

I see that we are spamming Twitter and Google Plus a bit, so I would suggest that we only show {minor, major} version updates on Twitter & Google Plus. If someone already feels annoyed by the activity or has a better proposal, feel free to speak here :)

BTW here is the very work in progress code for the notifications

update: biojs/registry-workmen@183fcfe implements this idea to filter for important messages only

maybe the workman should keep us up to date in gitter but just tell us about new components in twitter and google plus :)

This is already the current setup - the workmen only triggers notifications for Google plus/twitter for important updates (based on the semantic versioning - so only major and minor).

This was only done recently, so we could see how many minor updates we get every month and whether it spams twitter and Google+?
