As I am sure you are all aware, there are bad actors on the internet who may submit nefarious issues and / or pull requests during the "April Fools Day" season. In light of this, it is incumbent upon the more serious members of our open source community to show some leadership and discipline.

Therefore, it is proposed that the following policy is to be instituted:

Zero Tolerance Policy on Joke Issues or Pull Requests

  • Do not acknowledge them
  • Do not merge them
  • Do not adorn them with emojis or animated GIFs (either hard g or of the stupid soft g variety)

Oath of Seriousness

  • Do not participate in April Fool's tomfoolery of any manner
  • Shun those who do

Review All Communications For Proper Oxford Comma Usage

  • We are not monsters

Optional

  • Consider upping your game
  • Seriously, bro

I'm so up for this! Let's get those bad actors off the internet and on to our big/small screens instead. They could be the villain we all want and deserve
