No sound on Ubuntu

When watching a video in the preview window I don't get any sound playback on Ubuntu while the same files opened in QCTools on a Windows computer play with sound. This seems to be the case for me on Ubuntu 20.04 and 21.04 using the latest deb package, apt installed version, and appimage.

Woah, I haven’t used qctools in a while so I didn’t realise it ever played sound?
