Dear team,

We use this sails.io.js library inside Angular web app and we was wondering if there is an issue with repository or if it has been replaced. Last version is 1.2.1 released in March 2018 embeds the outdated socket.io 2.0.3.

Any reason why this repository doesn't receive any commit anymore ?

Thanks for the clarification.

Olivier.

Yeah, honestly.. It kind of feels like this project is dead.
No major updates for the framework, no update for its own socket client.
The main branch for the Sails framework can be considered stale if we didn't look at that updated package.json

Now, truth be told, when a project matures there won't be many major updates.
I've opened an issue that now affects browsers like FireFox and Safari.
Chrome doesn't bother with checking same-site origin unless you set it up to.
But by default, Firefox is strict.
Not being able to set cookies during development for those browsers seriously fucks up local testing.
Can't use secure, because the sails app does not come with SSL hosting for development by default.
