Sorry but...Are you trying with the last version (currently 1.0.5)?
I've been testing with several apps: with/without CSD, kde/non kde, starting maximized and not maximized and...can't reproduce the bug.

Is any specific app which is causing problems?

Thanks for the report. I have reproduced the bug with using plasma version 5.21.80. I was using 5.19.5 to test (kubuntu user here).
I will search a solution as soon as posible.

I had the same problem, and I'm on Wayland, with Plasma 5.27.3, framework 5.104.0, QT 5.15.8. After changing the fractional scaling from 150% to any other percentage, like 145%, the problem was solved. I have no idea what's the problem, though. At least you can try it, maybe.
