Set the topic directly from a field

It would be fine to set the topic directly from a field in the form. For example, from a select option.

Has this fix been tested? It would be great if it could do this. I have edited the 'snippet.formsave.php' file with the changed code and then added &fsFormTopic=[[+category]] (a select field) as it is for the FormIt email hook (made the changes as neccesary to the select options) but to no avail. Is there another file I need to change?

Hi AlastairFallon,

Have you edited the snippet from the manager or directly the file in the core/components directory ? By default, the snippet is not static and is saved in the Modx database. In your example, you missed the back ticks. It must be &fsFormTopic=[[+category]], but I suppose it is not the problem, you're facing.
This fix has been tested and works fine for me.

jchirschy thanks for the quick reply. I edited the file in the core components directory, hence the reason it wouldn't work. I have changed it in the database as per your message and it now works fine. Thanks. Nice update, very useful.
