I am very attached to reading messages in chronological order. So much so, that reading in any other order seems like total nonsense to me.

However pretty much all social media clients insist on having the most recent message at the top, so that the natural reading order is anti-chronological: newest to oldest. The result is an annoying zig-zag scrolling. I must scroll in the wrong/unnatural direction, and for messages that are too tall to fit on the screen I must keep scrolling, then read downwards and scroll again, and then when I want to get to the next message, I must scroll in the unnatural direction again...

Fortunately AndStatus seems to remember my reading position pretty well. In some other clients I am forced to keep re-finding my last-read message to continue reading. AndStatus gets this already correct.

But it would be great if the messages would be sorted in opposite order: oldest at the top, and when reading down, you get to the next-newer one.
