The AS3-Signals Sprout Gem

Robert Penner’s AS3-Signals ActionScript 3 source wrapped in a Sprout::Specification for implementation into a sprout project and Gem::Specification for distribution as a gem.

This sprout gem includes the AS3-Signals source code forked from github.com/robertpenner/as3-signals. As a sprout, the source code will be copied to lib/as3-signals of your sprout project.

Installation

Intended for use with a project using Project Sprouts. More information here:

Add the AS3-Signals gem to your Gemfile:

gem "as3signals", ">= 0.7.0"

Add the AS3-Signals library dependency to your Rakefile:

library :as3signals

Enter this shell command to resolve gem dependency:

$ bundle install vendor

Ruby Gem

The gem can be installed independently of a project entering this command:

$ gem install as3signals

Available assets

The gem provides the following options for how to include the library in your project.

library :as3signals				# => (default) will include the swc at lib/as3signals

library :as3signals, :swc		# => will include the swc at lib/as3signals

library :as3signals, :src		# => will include the source code at lib/as3signals

library :as3signals, :docs		# => will include the asdoc files at lib/as3signals

library :as3signals, :all		# => will include all available files at lib/as3signals

Build and Installation from Source

This sequence of commands will build and install the gem directly. This may be necessary if updates are made before the gem is updated on rubygems.org.

Clone git repository:

git clone https://github.com/amoslanka/sprout-as3-signals.git sprout-as3-signals

		cd sprout-as3-signals

Resolve dependencies:

bundle install vendor

Compile swc and asdocs:

rake compile

Run rake gem:install task:

rake gem:install
