I know that this can render single images as PNG files. Can you add the functionality to sequentially name and output image sequences?

you can try my fork of this script https://github.com/danilw/shadertoy-to-video-with-FBO
my modifications allow rendering to MOV video(frames without compression) and then you can convert MOV video frames to images
