@locness3 I believe Brackets is a good name to continue. The change of name requires a lot of work not only in code but also in marketing of the new application.

I'll vouch for Brackets 2 if I had to.

It is still a lot of files to cover. It requires us to change almost every file. I think that we need to work on features that are of some value to the users rather than changing the name in the source code.

@sprintr no, there isn't yet any communication platform. but it's a good point!
i created a matrix room and posted a comment on the issue you opened over at the brackets repo.

@locness3 i suggest creating a comment in the issue at the new repo.

@christyanbrayan it is intended to become the new place for people working on brackets to organise.
personally, i probably won't be contributing much because of time constraints.
nobody came forward with a fork for a while and i just couldn't stand by watching ;-)
i've created the organisation on github to make sure the repo is owned by a team and, at least at the moment, it's fairly open.
