The description on https://io.adafruit.com/api/docs/#adafruit-io-http-api says I can find the API key from any dashboard, but I do not see the row of icons referred to in the description. Eventually, I found that the dashboard has a key icon in the top right. So it is not as I described. Maybe the main problem is that I expected the API key to be accessible from the Feeds page, not the dashboards.

Hi @spoogle
There should also be a yellow and black Key icon similarly on all the Adafruit IO pages (feeds included), but it gets moved to a condensed hamburger menu (top left) on smaller screens (last in the list labelled View IO Key).
Hope that helps!

That helps, thanks. None of my screens show the row of little icons in the description https://io.adafruit.com/api/docs/images/authentication/aio-key-dashboard-link.png Maybe there are other screens that do, or maybe the description is out of date.

🤔 I think the API docs are using very old images, so probably both need refreshing.
You'll be relieved to hear it is on the todo list, but scheduled for after we do some mobile updates later in the year, I.e. after the interface gets changed again.
