CPU spikes in Windows 10

I get CPU spikes on windows - it usually hangs around 1-4% CPU usage, but every 5 to 10 seconds I get 100% CPU spikes.

It does this with my own models as well as the 'wheel' model.

Are you using the prebuilt binaries ?

Do the spikes create audio glitches ?

Yes to both questions, though the audio glitches are intermittent.
