How to Handle Long Filename? #2552
-
Hello all, A huge thank you to @abraunegg for this OneDrive client. I am relatively new to Linux and this tool has been the single biggest factor in allowing me to daily drive Linux almost exclusively. Additionally, the documentation and resources on the Git Hub for this project are incredibly helpful. I recently discovered, however, that there are a handful of files with long filenames that are not syncing. Specifically, these files exist without issue in OneDrive on my Mac and when accessing OneDrive through the browser. Yet, they are not syncing to my Linux machine and I receive notices that their filenames are too long. Is there a way to make the OneDrive client accept these files with long filenames? Any help is most appreciated. Thank you. |

@WB-Student There is nothing that can be done here other than you changing your path / folder structure .. sorry |

I use Long Path Tool for this problem. It makes it easy for the drive to accept the longname files. |

Nothing can be done as the API has hard limits of 400 characters (business and sharepoint) and 430 for personal - this is all documented as hard limits here:
