ANDROID - Screen Rotation when not in foreground fails #1397

XCSoar versions having and not having the problem

Android 7.42~

System information

Pixel 6 Android 13

Steps to reproduce the behavior

Start in portrait mode
swipe up to enter launcher
rotate screen to landscape
switch to xcsoar again

Expected behavior

Always take the rotation into account when foregrounded
Rotate accordingly

Actual behavior

XCSoar stays in portrait mode but display is in landscape
only half of the screen is visible

Do you have any idea what may have caused this?

Do you have an idea how to solve the issue?

Note to self: highly annoying when flying a shempphirt glider with a canopy opening to the side....
