Changing font should be done in the options or preferences, like in any other software that has a text editor in it.
Not in the "view / select font" menu.
I guess this is technically "not a bug" but from a UX perspective it's absolutely mind blowing so I had to create an issue for it. Thank you

I'm not sure it's entirely illogical to be there... some files might need a proportional font, others a fixed width font, some you might have an ideal aesthetic font which then proves to be less or unsuitable for some files.
I suspect it will be the case that some people will have more need to switch about fonts than others. I think that's what makes those programs with customisable menus so great from a user perspective.
In that respect, if there are regular switchers, Font choice could be improved by having the most regularly used fonts at the top (or a customised priority choice of 3).
